Monitoring all data points / data registers
The remote monitoring system for chillers/HVAC can remotely monitor the operation of your units . The system is based on the reading all data points/ data registers of the controller. The remote monitoring system is connected directly to the controller.
The entire data register is read, including all information about status and alarms, and (if present) the event log and alarm list. This information is transmitted wirelessly or via a fixed line connection. You decide what information you want to see and in what layout the information should be displayed on the dashboard (see: dashboard) You can also create your own reports
With this information it is possible to :
- checking the event list and alarm log
- entering and leaving temperatures
- monitoring energy consumption
- scheduling the service interval (Maintenance Schedule)
- show current position on a map
- error messages by email or SMS (see: alarms)
- or remotely adjust settings of set points

On the dashboard the status of your installations is displayed.
The dashboard is made "customized". The client specifies the information to be displayed, and how this information should be presented (map, graphs, tables).
You can make a dashboard for each user account. Because a service technician needs other information than a planner. A manager rental wants to see other information than a lessee. Thus, depending on your role, you can make a user account with its own dashboard.

The system has a number of standard reports. Examples of standard reports are:
- Overview of operating hours and upcoming maintenance
- Overview geographic positions /trips
- Overview generated alarms
It is possible to make a request for a customized report yourself.
You specify the following values:
- period (start date and end date)
- the specific object(s) over which the data is retrieved
- the specific values which should be reported (eg alarm code, fuel level, battery voltage)
The result is a list of the selected values. All reports can be downloaded in PDF, Excel or Word format.

With charts, you can easily see the progress of the value of different variables. With interactive graphs you can do much more.
You choose the variables that you want to see and can easily zoom in and zoom out over a certain period. This is ideal for analysis purposes.

Advanced export function
Information from the remote monitoring system can be passed to your back-office software systems by the advanced export function. For example on the basis of an event. If an event occurs then the system is sending a message.
Examples of these "event-driven" events are: a failure that occurs, a maintenance interval, the reaching of a specific temperature, or the reaching of a minimum capacity level of the fuel tank. You can set the events to be passed to your own back office system in the remote monitoring system yourself.
Using a wizard, you can specify conditions. If this condition is current you will get a notification. Notifications are sent by SMS or email. You can specify the conditions and SMS numbers and / or email addresses yourself. In addition, alerts are always displayed on the report "messages".
Creating user accounts for your clients
It is possible to create User accounts for your customers. You can do it yourself. Do you want your customers to look at the status of the installations that they have rented? This is possible.
The remote monitoring system has an option "User Management". With this wizard you can create step by step new user account.
Login with multiple users simultaneously on one user account
It is possible to log into the system with multiple users simultaneously, using the same user account
For each account authorizations are set. In this way login accounts can be made for groups of users.
- the administrator who has all the rights, and can add, delete, or rename objects
- the service technician who is only interested in the maintenance intervals and error messages
- the administrative assistant who just requesting the weekly running hours so they can be charged
- the customer / renter , who only can see the status of the chillers which are rented by him
- the fuel supplier , who only sees the fuel tanks he must provide
Optional GPS is included. With GPS the current position of the installation is displayed on a geographical map.
All geographical positions are stored in the system. As a result, it is also possible to request geographical positions for a period in the past.
It is also possible with the GPS option to indicate a "geofence". A geofence is a kind of electronic fencing around an area
On a geofence an alarm trigger can be set that tells you when a system enters or leaves the area.
It is possible (if the controller has this functionality) to read out the event log and the alarm list.
In the event log all operations performed on the controller are tracked.
The alarm list shows all alarms generated by the controller. Both, the event log and the alarm list are stored for at least 1 year, so that they always can be requested.
Logging of data
All information is stored. As a result it is possible to show how the operation of a unit has been after a certain period of time. This information can be used to solve malfunctions.
In addition, historical information is used to issues related to use and guarantee.
Movements of a value of a data point can be shown, for example in the form of a graph in time. Data is stored for at least 1 year.
The web interface that is used for displaying the information of your installations, in Dutch or English. Are you active outside the Netherlands and you want your foreign customers or foreign personnel provide access to the monitoring system in their own language, than that is possible. For these users, a separate user account is created. For each user account the language can be set.
How does this work? Internally, the monitoring system has a translation table, where each word that is displayed on the screen can be translated into any other language.
Temporarily high frequency of data transmission
The remote monitoring system has the option to temporarily increase the data transmission rate. In this way, for example, the cause of a failure can be traced very quickly, or an analysis can be performed on the abnormal behavior of a system.
The system has therefore the "data speed high" option. Data is, if this option is enabled, then transmitted with a high frequency during a pre-set period of time (for example 30 minutes). After this period, the system automatically switches back to the original setting. Then this option can be activated again if necessary.
Use as OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer.
The monitoring system is offered as OEM. The system is adjusted so that the origin supplier (101 Solutions) of the remote monitoring cannot be traced.
The web application gets the "look and feel" of the customer. The color scheme of the web application is adapted to the company color of the client, on the web application the company logo is posted and the domain name is changed to a domain name owned by the client e.g. remotemonitoring.”Customername”.com
Remote access provides an instant, secure communication connection to remote chillers. This makes it possible to instantly take action in case an operational problem occurs and reduces the need to travel to the site.
Using a VPN connection, it is possible (for example after an alarm has occurred) to adjust settings immediately remotely.

High frequency measurements at low costs
Combining smart software with a fast processor, it is now possible to provide high accuracy data at low cost.
This is how it works. With a (adjustable) frequency of 2 to 5 seconds data is read. If there is no change or change within a pre-set delta, no data will be send. The delta is determined by you. If there is a change then this information will be send immediately. Additionally the current value is send, for example, 1x per hour.

In this example, a measurement is performed every 2 seconds. If the most recent measurement differs less than the delta from the second last measurement, the system does not send data. If the deviation is greater than the previously set delta, the new value will be forwarded immediately.
Also in this example, a value is passed 1x per hour. This will ensure you that this variable is measured.
The major advantage of this measurement method is that the actuality of the data is very high while the amount of data being sent (and related to data costs) is limited.
This method has two big advantages: low data costs with high accuracy.
Webservices - API
101 Solutions has a web service, which can exchange information with third parties using APIs. The format that is sent is usually XML or JSON.
In practice this means that by using a webservices, information can be exported from the Solutions 101 remote monitoring system to another system or that by using a webservices, information can be imported from another system into the Solutions 101 remote monitoring system.
Examples of push data through an API:
- Forwarding maintenance interval.
After a pre-set hours position is reached, it automatically sends a message to an ERP system where a service technician is scheduled for carrying out a service.
- Forwarding alarm.
An alarm is activated and will be sent automatically to an emergency room (also possible in combination with an SMS and / or email).
- Forwarding billable hours.
The number of daily runninghours is automatically transmitted to a billing system
Examples of pull of data:
- Information from third parties.
Information from measurements made by third parties. This information can be imported via web services, independent of the hardware that is used to collect information.
- Import additional information.
From another system data can be imported to supplement existing data.
For example, data of an object that is being monitored. An example is a silo being monitored, wherein the properties of the contents of the silo (type of raw material, specific gravity and supplier name) can be imported from another system.
In order to be able to make use of this web service a web service-specific key is required which is provided by Solutions 101 upon request. This key is customer-specific and is not transferable.

The remote monitoring system is easy to connect. The starting point is that you can install the system yourself. We provide an installation guide and give (free) telephone support, if needed. In this way you save on installation costs and you can easily install the remote monitoring system to another object, without needing support from us.
